Learning Together at Home and in School
We believe learning is something we do together.
By exploring ideas with people we trust, we can all learn important skills and ways of being that shape our lives, our communities and our world. Thinking of “learning as doing” helps us understand that abstract concepts like love, kindness and justice are skills we can practice each day and improve over time.
Our educational offerings and resources are designed to extend learning beyond the performances. Together with children, educators, artists, parents and child development specialists, we create arts-based learning and activity packets that welcome all children to cultivate their unique gifts and learn to build a more equitable, inclusive world.
Our Approach to Learning
At Cozy Arts, our learning resources help children explore their inner lives and develop skills of empathy, curiosity and resilience. Using the arts, we create inclusive learning spaces where children have meaningful conversations and work on activities that build their unique capacities in concrete ways. Our work is shaped by our belief in learning as doing and in three mutually reinforcing principles:
Feelings
Using art, music and imagination we focus on activities that help children learn about why feelings are important.
Friendship
Nurturing healthy relationships is a cornerstone to learning. Friendship helps us discover new ways for each person to flourish and challenge each other to grow.
Fairness
Children have a keen awareness of fairness and injustice. We’ve designed our materials to help them harness their capacities to be loving, peaceful and just.
We invite you and the children in your life to learn with us — we all learn so much more when we share our experiences together.
Cozy Home
Cozy Home Learning & Activity Packets help children, parents and caregivers explore big, bold, brave ideas together at home. Created with specialists, educators, artists, parents and caregivers, Cozy Home packets are designed to engage children with arts-based hands-on activities. Each packet brings beauty into the home and creates opportunities for conversations with children about feelings, friendship and fairness.

Each Cozy Home Learning & Activity Packet contains arts-based projects, ideas, conversation prompts, book suggestions and resources. We’ve created each packet to support and extend the learning that Rory and other Cozy Corner friends explore in our online and on-site shows.

Cozy Classroom
Designed with educators, child development specialists and families, Cozy Classroom is a supplemental education resource that brings the joy and themes of Cozy Corner into the classroom. Extending the learning that students begin in our shows, each learning and activity packet welcomes students of all backgrounds and abilities to use their creativity to explore social-emotional learning.
Cozy Classroom packets are designed to engage students with hands-on activities. Packets can be used before shows to introduce learners to what they’ll experience in a Cozy Corner performance as well as after performances to build on key social-emotional themes.

Creative Corner
Calling all creators! Come answer a question, share your art and join a Creative Corner conversation. We’ll pose a question each month and share what people around the country and across the world have to say through art and words.
